PE Program Teaching Assistants

Osaka YMCA International School (OYIS) is an English-based, private international school, offering preschool to grade 9 and is currently accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) and by the US-based Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The school year starts at the beginning of September and goes to the beginning of July–a fall-spring calendar. The swimming classes are run as part of the Physical Health & Education portion of the school curriculum with the 25 meter pool located on the roof of the school building.

There are two levels of internship provided: 1 Sr Intern role, and 4 Intern roles available. The Senior Swim Intern is a position created to lead, develop and support the Lv 2 interns and the swim program at OYIS (Osaka YMCA International School) from June - September every year.  The Swim Intern is a position created to assist with the planning and to carry out the swim program within the physical education curriculum at OYIS (Osaka YMCA International School) from June - September every year.  These positions provides a unique opportunity for those with Kingswim experience or knowledge, and for those with swim instructor and/or life-saving skills and licenses to gain additional experience in an international setting.
