Suito Kokusai Jr/Sr High School Teaching Assistant

The Suito Kokusai Junior and Senior High School opened April 1, 2019 and is an Osaka city public school that is, for the first time in Japanese history, operated by a private organization, which is the Osaka YMCA. Osaka YMCA was selected after a rigorous selection process incorporating the public/private-sector method, aiming to introduce the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to become the first accredited school in Osaka Prefecture for a public school.

The intent is to bring together the best of Japanese education with the best of international education while giving citizens public school access. Suito Kokusai has applied to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to become an IB World School authorized to offer a dual language IB Diploma Programme (DP). Some of the subjects at Suito Kokusai are offered in Japanese and conform to the Japanese ministry of education curriculum, while some other subjects are uniquely developed for Suito Kokusai. In addition to the English subject, mathematics and science are taught in English.
