Global Department has been hard at work not only to put the GYC together, but to start a Social Enterprise project run by students.
To kick this off officially, Osaka YMCA Business School Social Enterprise Course Student representatives Khin Khin Phway (Myanmar) and Wongsiri Oraphan (Thailand) met with Osaka YMCA General Secretary, Mr. Yoshihiro Sueoka to present the class’ ideas on a new “My Y Cafe” social enterprise coffee cart project.
The project aims to empower young people by getting them involved in helping to develop and run a practical social business which supports Osaka YMCA global youth projects, charities, youth professional development and fair trade.
Students hope to have the coffee cart built and operational on the 1st floor of the Osaka YMCA Tosabori building in the near future!
