On February 17~18th the Global Department had the pleasure of attending the Global Leadership Training Workshop, where participants regardless of their age, gender, work status, and origin got to learn about and discuss ideas on peace and conflict resolution through fun yet challenging workshops. Participating YMCA’s came from Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Shiga, Toyama, Suwon, Wakayama, Setouchi, and Nihon Domei.
Participants were challenged to work towards a common goal while being pushed out of their comfort zone by working with people who they didn’t know. Barriers were broken down and new friendships were formed. More importantly, participants acquired skills in effective dialogue, facilitation, transcending fear, teamwork, problem solving and personal transformation.
２月１７〜１８日の週末に、グローバルは六甲山YMCAで行われたＹＭＣＡ第１８回（２０１８年度）グローバル教育研修会に参加いたしました。グローバル研修会は参加者の年齢、性別、職業、人種など関係なく平和と紛争解決方法などのアイデアの議論を楽しくも考えさせられるワークショップを通して話し合いました。参加者たちは互いをよく知らない気まずさがあるなか一つの目的を達するべく一緒にやるワークショップをする中で新しい友情も生まれました。さらに皆がディスカッション力、チームワーク、恐怖に負けない考え方、プロブレムソルビング（問題解決法）力、自己を改革する意識などを習得しました。参加したYMCAは神戸、大阪、京都、奈良、滋賀、富山、和歌山、瀬戸内、日本同盟とスオンの計１０。
