The successful applicant will be someone who:

  • Has more than 5 years of work experience in a similar or related field

Key responsibilities:
  • Leads program delivery for local and international partners and program participants.

  • Leads program planning and development in consultation with the Managing Director and Global team including for the Osaka YMCA annual Global Youth Conference, Youth for Causes social enterprise programs and for other international events and activities as required

  • Develops program content in consultation with the Managing Director and Global Team including for the Global Youth Conference, Youth for Causes, My Y Cafe, and other relevant programs.

  • Leads and coordinates part-time Global Coordinators and other staff under the direction of the Managing Director

  • Coordinates administration support for global programs and support services.

  • Provides translation support as required

  • Works with the Managing Director and Global team to create and implement annual Global marketing and communications strategy including the development of communications databases, the Global Gateway Hub and web services, and SNS content.

Skills & Experience:
  • At least 5 years of events planning and or project coordination experience

  • Has experience leading and/ or working with a team of bi-lingual staff

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, Canva, Zoom, Adobe, and major Web & SNS platforms

  • Has strong marketing & design skills

  • Has worked with a variety of stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds

  • Fluent to native level in both Japanese and English

  • Design

Conditions:
  • Hours: 35- 40 hours per week (some Saturdays during peak time - May-Sept)

  • Monthly salary range: ¥270,000 - ¥310,000 per month (depending on experience)

  • Travel Expenses - Up to ¥1000 per day

  • Annual leave days + most public holidays

  • Office Location: Tosabori, Osaka

  • *Flexible hours and the opportunity to work some days from home are a possibility
